Nancy and Derek traveled from Vancouver to get married in the pyramid wine cellar at Summerhill Winery. It was the first wedding I’ve shot inside the pyramid (most ceremonies are usually out on the grass by the vineyard) and it was a neat experience! The candlelit lighting, along with all the wine barrels, gave it a beautiful ambiance and the temperature was nice and cool inside.
Their reception took place on the lower level of Summerhill and Stage Right Etc worked their magic on this intimate wedding with one long table laden with luxurious fabrics and elegant details to fit Nancy and Derek’s Old Hollywood-esque theme. Nancy looked like a classic movie starlet from head to toe in her gorgeous Vera Wang dress. I love that the dress is called “Dorothy” and Nancy wore red heels. : D
Nancy, Derek and their whole wedding party all knew how to have fun and didn’t take themselves too seriously which I loved. They were all welcoming and I just felt like one of the gang for the day. : ) It made it easy to capture fun moments and their genuine selves. I had such a great day with them! Dinner was amazing as always- the guests couldn’t stop talking about how good it all tasted, “Seriously- this tastes like heaven.”
Nancy and Derek jetted off the next day for a honeymoon in Vegas! Congrats again you too!
