I asked Melanie and/or Dennis to write me a paragraph of how they met and Dennis wrote such a nice little summary of how they got together and how much he adores Melanie. Very sweet- read it below! I think it speaks louder than anything I could say about the two of them and I was quite touched by how devoted they are to each other. I love the duck part of the story too! hahaha- so great.

“We met at work, where we were both in the same department at the time. It wasn’t something I pre-meditated, I just turned around and asked her out one day. I took Mel out to New West Quay where we walked the shops and down along the water and got some ice cream. She found out quickly we both shared a love for animals as I began to share my ice cream with a duck. Surprisingly I did get a second date. Over the Last 9 years I have found Mel to be a very gentle and loving person with a big heart for everyone and everything. But she can be as strong as she is gentle when it comes to adversity and challenges in her life. I’m a very lucky man to have someone like Mel carry so much faith in me”. ~ Dennis
