I met Chelsea and Jim in 2012 and immediately knew they were awesome when they told me they wanted to incorporate their fondness of croquet into their engagement session with me, complete with a tandem bike ride. Shortly after, they had their wedding at Chelsea’s parents long-time property right before they moved. Overlooking Kelowna, not only was it a gorgeous wedding but it also felt special capturing these last celebratory memories for them at a home that had been a big part of Chelsea’s family history. What a cool way to close a great chapter before starting another! Fast-forward 6 years and I got to photograph them again, this time with their effervescent daughter, Elliot. These moments in my job give me heart smiles for miles. I met them at Knox Mountain in Kelowna and I had the best time capturing their little family. We caught the best light and a lovely breeze. Elliot was such a special kid and such a pleasure to snap candids of. So happy for these guys!

 

This was a really magical shoot. I was so touched by the closeness of this family – especially the brother and sister. They had such a sweet, affectionate bond that was so refreshing and lovely to see. I chose the beautiful simplicity and gorgeous green of Mission Creek for their lifestyle family photo session and I’m so pleased with how it all turned out. : )

 

I had such a great time capturing this awesome family a couple of weeks ago. Magnolia blossoms come and go so fast so I’m happy we were able to catch this beauty! Kelsey and Brett’s son, Tanner has thee cutest 2 bottom front teeth that made the closeups of him all that much adorable. We were cutting it close shooting near his bedtime for best light and he was such a great sport! Kelsey and Brett have a great sense of humour so I knew they’d enjoy the hilarious outtakes of Tanner grabbing Kelsey’s hair and nose. Haha. Those outtakes are sooo funny to look back on later in life as a family. : D
