Fredy and Laurie chose the fantastic Hotel Eldorado in Kelowna for their big day. With beautiful rooms, great food and incredible staff it’s definitely one of my favourite venues in Kelowna. Vintage Origami made it even more beautiful with her amazing nautical-themed decor. I was a happy camper getting to photograph it all!

The day’s forecast was for thunderstorms but the rain completely missed us – yippee! Laurie and Fredy must have had some good karma from being such awesome people. Fredy was one of thee funniest grooms I’ve ever had and was constantly entertaining to photograph and Laurie is so sweet, with such a great sense of humour as well. Fantastic pair!

Fredy cracking everyone up with his prolonged hand-kiss. haha. Fredy hamming it up. Pretty sure I was giggling the whole day from all his antics. On the right, “We’re married!” they exclaimed. The Nautical-themed decor by Vintage Origami was so creative and amazing!!! Hi, I’m cute.Now I’m even cuter. I really heart photo-bombs. They just make me smile. : D This baby needs to become a famous meme – way too cute. Mom and pops protected his ears from the loud tunes but it didn’t stop him from rocking out. ; D Fredy: “My song just came on! Gotta go!”I still need to ask for the story behind the horse head. I thought it was rad that one of Fredy’s friends made a shirt with Fredy’s last name on it. : D

I had such a fantastic time capturing Christine and Mike’s wedding so it was so great to continue the fun the next day with a session of just the two of them. Day-after sessions are such a treat. I get to choose the best time for light and am not restricted to choosing a location close to the venue. There is no tight schedule to squeeze photos into and no stress that comes with a busy wedding day. Don’t get me wrong, I love the high energy and challenge of a wedding day but it is so nice to have a relaxing session with the couple the next day. : ) Christine had her makeup done again by Melissa Craven and looked just as stunning as the day before. The light streaming through the leaves was perfect and Christine, Mike and I had time to recap some of the most memorable moments from the day before and chat about their Italy honeymoon that they were leaving for the next day.

Besides being one of the most photogenic pairs ever, Christine and Mike also have huge hearts and such a positive and upbeat energy. They chose Sparkling Hill Resort in Predator Ridge, BC for their wedding and I don’t think the day could have gone better. Such an awesome day! The ceremony with Mike and Christine’s handwritten vows was heartwarming and beautiful and the reception had so many spontaneous moments. Everything flowed perfectly. I kinda wish we could do it all over again!

Mike and Christine decided last-minute to ask people to sing to make them kiss. I was so impressed with how into it all the tables got!! Fun group of people! One of the highlights of the night for me was when one of the groomsmen spontaneously decided to sing “The Rose” by Bette Midler. I think everyone, myself included, was crying from laughing so hard.

 

You two are amazing inside and out and it was such a huge pleasure capturing your big day! Big hug!
