What a gorgeous wedding for such a fantastic duo! Josie and Mike came all the way from Australia to have their wedding in the beautiful Okanagan. Josie actually lived here for a year and a half on a work visa so she had a mix of guests from Australia and Canada. Their day started off great with a beautiful ceremony at Cedar Creek Winery and they continued on with a reception at the Laurel Packinghouse. Stage Right Etc hit it out of the park with decor. My jaw dropped when I first walked into the Laurel Packinghouse. Wow! We also had an incredible 6-course dinner made by Joy Road Catering. What an amazing night! I can’t say enough great things about Josie and Mike. They are such sweet, fun individuals with adventurous spirits. Their upbeat energy was contagious!
Yes… this happened. See why I’m always bragging about how cool my clients are?
You guys were so much fun to work with! Congrats again and all the best! : )
I love a good photo-bomb. Well done Mike. Well done.
Carlee and Brennan are such an awesome pair! They chose the Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna to have their wedding and it was a beautiful setting (as always), complete with sunny weather. Carlee put so much work into designing the stationery and decor for her wedding and I loved all the personal details. There was even a display of huge letters cut out, spelling “Carlee and Brennan,”on the grass by the pond. So cool!! I had so much fun doing the wedding party portraits in Carlee’s family orchard where they had hung up a swing for the occasion. It was such a fun, beautiful day and I feel lucky that I got to be a part of it!
You can also see Carlee and Brennan’s engagement photos here.
Carlee also did a really cute first look with her dad and I adore this shot below that my second shooter, Carley Bortolin, took. So sweet. At the beginning of the ceremony, Brennan walked past the guests to a tree where he and Carlee’s grandmothers were sitting to give them all hugs. His groomsmen then each walked one of the grandmothers down the aisle to their seats. What a touching start to the ceremony! It had my second shooter, Carley, and I tearing up from the get go!
Arianna and Aaron couldn’t have had more beautiful weather for their wedding at Summerhill Pyramid Winery in Kelowna. That is one of the things I love most about September weddings – it’s still warm but not scorching. Arianna and Aaron are a really fun and adventurous couple. They are up for anything and this provided me with plenty of great photo moments during the reception, especially. Stage Right Etc did a beautiful job on the decor. The room looked classy and elegant. As a photographer who loves to shoot with natural light as much as possible, I always appreciate that Stage Right always gives me lovely ambient light to work with – in this case, with the chandeliers and candles. The dinner was delicious, as it always is at Summerhill Pyramid Winery. It was a very lively and entertaining evening!
Instead of glass-tinking to get the couple to kiss, guests had to kiss in an interesting way that Arianna and Aaron then had to reenact. The guests were quite imaginative to say the least! haha. The best man incorporated a game of Twister into his speech. DJ, Dwayne Mollin, had Arianna sit on a guy-friend’s lap with her dress over his legs to fool Aaron into thinking he was taking the garter off her leg. It was a pretty funny moment when his blindfolded face met a manly, hairy leg instead of his wife’s.
