Chelsea & Jim – Kelowna Wedding

Last week you got to see Chelsea and Jim’s engagement shoot, and this week we are on to their gorgeous wedding held on Chelsea’s parents’ property. Wow – such a beautiful event!! I couldn’t stop clicking everywhere I looked! I was especially impressed at the stunning decor that Chelsea did herself, along with the help of family. Flowers overflowed out of all sorts of antique teapots and vases, with candles lit amongst them providing awesome mood lighting. I’m a sucker for string bulb-lights and there were strands hanging above the tables creating even more beautiful ambiance. Combine all that with the beyond-beautiful backdrop of Tantalus Vineyard and Kelowna, and you have a very happy photographer!! : D I wish their place was an official wedding venue because man-oh-man, I could photograph a million weddings there and never get tired of it!

I had so much fun capturing Chelsea and Jim’s wedding. You can see plain as day how in love they are. They were so endearing together. : ) I was really pleased that they chose to do a first look so that they could do their portraits before the ceremony, giving them more time to spend with their guests. It was such a lovely day!

I thought these were such cool groomsmen gifts! Vintage books with a hidden cutout for a flask. Fun! Click here to go to the Etsy shop where they got them.Very sweet first look.Jim’s expression in the photo on the right is so cute. He looks so proud and content.Chelsea and Jim had awesome sunglasses for wedding favours with a personalized symbol (their initials combined) on the side.Below, left photo taken by my lovely second shooter, Carley Bortolin.Below photo was snapped by my second shooter, Carley. : )Chelsea and Jim kept sneaking the cutest looks at each other. Chelsea & Jim – Kelowna Engagement

I was so excited when I arrived to do Chelsea and Jim’s engagement shoot and saw them wearing matching Bay t-shirts with a game of croquet ready to be set up and played. Not only that, but they had rented a green tandem bicycle and a white sofa from Vintage Origami! I was pretty pumped to say the least and was floating on a happy photography cloud the whole shoot. Chelsea and Jim were totally naturals in front of the camera and so fun to work with. The Bay shirts are an inside joke. They told me that they have a history of showing up places, after getting ready separately, to find that they had unintentionally worn matching outfits. Haha. Pretty cute.

Chelsea and Jim live in Toronto so we didn’t have a chance to do their engagement session until a few days before their wedding. We did their engagement shoot on Chelsea’s parents’ property in East Kelowna. Such a gorgeous piece of land. They had their wedding there as well and I can’t wait to share the photos from that!! I wish it was an actual wedding venue – so stunning!
